Birthday at Sedap Corner!

Yesterday night, the Safrains meet up for dinner to celebrate Cik Bos', my 1st uncle's, birthday! It was my first time to eat at Sedap Corner.. even though it was a normal, every day kind of place to eat (did the sentence make sense?), for those living in the east..

I love that we have this kind of dinner together which makes the family much closer <3

Anyway, after dinner, when going back to our taxi... I saw Imran Ajmain!  He was eating at Badoque... It's the second time now I saw him. Last time was during Hari Raya years ago, at Tampines.. I want to accidentally see Taufik Batisah can? Haha! Cos either I keep seeing Shah Iskandar or Imran Ajmain... 

Sunnah Awareness Week

On Saturday, I went to celebrate Maulidur Rasul at Masjid Ahmad Ibrahim... As usual, there's 'Maulid Diba'i", that's they call it haha, I'm not sure myself but it's like reciting the selawat and all that. Then syarahan and followed by Nasi Briyani! LOL. Do you know that we can get pahala by going to the mosque, listening to syarahan, solat jema'ah and helping out at the mosque.. All that is good right? and hence why celebrating Maulidur Rasul is good too..

Anyway, the next day.. Early in the morning, I had to assemble at Masjid Darul Makmur for a Sunnah Awareness Walk... We had to walk from Darul Makmur to Asyafa'ah mosque! Do you know how tiring it was! LOL... but at the end of it I learned a lot! I learned that we can't complain of how tiring it was to walk at such a long distance bcos.. during the Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, he travelled 320KM from Makkah to Madinah for 12 days! And we... We just walked for about 3KM... And we complained.. I felt guilty after hearing what the Ustaz said about the Hijrah.. Also, make sure to say "S.A.W" after someone said Prophet Muhammad.. You will gain 10 selawat from Allah for 1 "S.A.W" Insya'Allah...

After the walk and the small tazkirah by the Ustaz, we got to eat Nasi Briyani! I ate twice in a week, gosh! But Alhamdulillah.. (Dah rezeki, amek je lah hehe!)

Just saying...

Since Maulidur Rasul is coming, I've seen a lot of post in FB stating that we shouldn't celebrate it.. The reason is during the Prophet's time, they didn't celebrate, same goes after the prophet's time which is the sahabat and tabi'uns... They never once celebrate it.. It is Bida'ah..
What they said and the hadith they give to backup what they said, is true...

However, in our time now, we don't really know Prophet Muhammad well and hence, with this remembrance of his birthday, we as muslims in Singapore gather in the mosque to do selawat and zikir. We also will be given a syarahan about our Prophet Muhammad. Isn't that good? We 'celebrate' to really know more about our Prophet PBUH. We don't worship him, we worship Allah.. But we acknowledge him as our Prophet. This has to be done so that we won't forget... People might say, then why you guys don't remember him or do his sunnah to remember him and follow his deeds. We, as human beings make mistakes, and that is why we sometimes forget to follow his sunnah, forget to always praise him, to learn about his history. Therefore, with this Maulidur Rasul... we could at least gather to learn and at the same time increase our iman.. All I'm saying here is, in my opinion, Maulidur Rasul is a beneficial thing for all muslims in this generation.. Also, we 'celebrate' it in an Islamic way, we don't follow any religion. Even the Ustaz, are supporting this.. Hmm, I know the Ustaz in the Middle East countries are against it but we must know... Are we that knowledgeable about our Prophet PBUH? Why don't we take this opportunity to 'celebrate' this Maulidur Rasul and at the same time know more about him...

But all that was written by me may not be right, cos Allah knows best.. :)
It's just my honest opinion...

And now, I saw that their posts had been deleted cos it may cause conflict.. Bcos we, in Singapore were taught differently... Why don't we all stop arguing about things that are good.. why not argue and stop things that we do bad...

Yang buruk comes from me.. And yang baik is from ALLAH :)

Hello all!

I'm so lazy to update my blog! Even though I have nothing to do at home lol!

Anyway, January is coming to an end! It had been a great month for me minus the time I spent lazing around at home...

During Chinese New Year, I got to meet up with my relatives! Had a mini birthday celebration for January "babies"... My cousin baked Oreo cheesecake! So delicious!

Went to satisfy our craving for Tutti Frutti! I spent more than $10 just for yoghurt! It was worth it though cos it's super delicious!

Went for a swim at Seng Kang sports & recreation centre! Had a good swim considered that it's been a long time since I swim...
Also, I've been trying to find a job now that January's gonna end! Too much of relaxing already! Nura and I thought that we cannot find a job together cos we both live far from each other and we have different job preference.. But all the best to us! Hehe!

I feel so guilty right now.. 

The link I shared above is about why we, muslim ladies, are not allowed to have crushes. Crushes for actors, singers.. Hmm, before reading that post, I always have crushes for Korean artists and just anyone I find handsome to me. Now, I realise that it is all a waste of time and just make us more ignorant towards our religion... This is a good reminder for me and all :)

Today is laughing day for me!

Today I think I laugh a lot!

 Firstly, with Nura, she made me laugh till my cheeks hurt! I was converting Gossip Girls videos from my laptop, it took quite a long time, and Nura was bored.. So, her itchy hand took lots of pictures of  me and she edited it! HAHA! So creative of her lol! I mean she edited something really is... I don't know how to say it haha! I know she's having a hard time and so she wanted to de-stress.. Hmm, sometimes I really feel sad that she have to have this hurt feeling. I wish that eventually everyone will be happy! I mean I don't like to see my close friends getting hurt.

Hehe! At home, my mum watched Maharaja lawak mega! And I also join her. It was so funny! I laugh like I've never laugh before hahaha! I mean I love Osbon and Boboi! But still Jozan was the one that makes me laugh the hardest. I feel disappointed for the Singapore group, Syok. It wasn't syok at all. I didn't laugh. It was sad to see Chef Wan looks bored watching them.

And ya, so that concludes why I laugh a lot today hehe!

Happy new year! 2012

It's 2012 already! How time flies so fast. Of cos, in the Islamic calendar, we already celebrated our new year 1433H!

All I can say now is, I feel that I must just focus on achieving to become a better Muslimah. I realised that if I am too concern of the world and not the hereafter, I will go no where but just into sadness. Cos friends or even family can't bring us to a good place in the hereafter. We can't always depend on them, that's what I meant. We must also do something our self. Find knowledge our self. Cos in the end, we will die our self, okay it's suppose to be alone, just wanted to make it similar (the our self part haha).

Maybe, these are all so easy for me to say or type but action speaks louder than words. I'll try my best! I'll do, not try.

Happy Birthday Father!

My father is now 60 years old! Many said that he doesn't look 60, perhaps 50 plus? Haha. Anyway, we celebrated his birthday with red velvet cupcake made by my cousin, kak Nana! The cupcake was as always delicious! Went to my grandmother's house to celebrate and have breakfast together!

Next, we went to Courts to buy a washing machine! These few days, I had to hand-wash all the clothes! But I have to wait till January next year for the washing machine to arrive cos they said it's out of stock at the moment... And so, I still have to hand-wash till next year! :(

I also bought a new camera! This time it's not a water-proof one, I had enough of those kind. Haha! It took a while for me to decide which one to buy... Suddenly, the salesman showed me a samsung camera and I fall in love with it! Haha, even though it's just ordinary.. and it's on sale!

We went to Manhattan Fish Market for lunch and also to celebrate my father's birthday! We love seafood and that's why we love to eat there! Their seafood platter is really filling and delicious! Okay picture bomb time!
